Working closely with the City of London Corporation, along with the Pageant Master, Dominic Reid, this 800th anniversary anthology features subjects ranging from from Canaletto to James Bond and robes to stamps, as well as broader histories of London.

The brief was to produce something that felt very nostalgic but with a strong sense of identity, and with the text deliberately set in Doves Type (the font was recently rescued from the depths of the Thames and digitised for the first time) there is a London connection running throughout the book. It was also a great opportunity to be able to work with Sir Peter Blake’s studio who produced the cover illustration as well as marketing material.
